2010 - 2015: Burlap Collages

In 2010-2015, Jarvaise further refined his collage techniques using solely burlap and black cement to layer design elements, giving the works a three dimensional sense.  Having honed a unique vocabulary of forms, the artist extended his practice to reimagine his forms and scenes on a new media. In burlap, the artist was able to express chromatic contrasts by leaning into the natural colors of the fiber.
